Our capsules are made with durable materials designed to last. However, they must be handled with care to avoid situations or exposure to products or actions that could damage them or accelerate erosion, including:

• Exposure to chemicals such as acetone, acidic or alkaline products, or any other corrosive solvents or creams (e.g., use neutral pH soaps and wear gloves for cleaning or dishwashing).
• Physical scratches from sharp or abrasive objects (keys, rocky surfaces, dishwashing sponges, exfoliating gloves, etc.).
• If your profession (such as hairdressing, cleaning, horse riding, etc.) makes it impossible to avoid these situations, we recommend opting for solid colour models and avoiding mirror effect, matte, French, or 3D effect models, which are more susceptible to damage.

To avoid damaging the capsule during removal:

• Use the flat side of the stick and gently slide it under one side of the capsule, as close as possible to the top of the nail (not towards the thinner and more fragile bottom).
• Do the same on the other side and repeat the maneuver until the capsule completely detaches.
• Never touch the bottom of the capsule with the stick.
• Never leverage the stick.
• Never attempt to remove the capsule with your fingers by pulling.

The square capsules have two ends:

The harder, squarer side should be placed at the top of the nail. It has a number engraved on the back indicating the size of the capsule.

The rounder, thinner side should be placed towards the cuticles. It is more flexible to provide comfort and to fit the curvature of each nail. It is essential to apply them in the correct orientation, as placing the thin end at the top of your nail could cause damage.

Here are some tips to help you remove the Gel Pad from its plastic backing:

• Wash your nails before application.
• Rub the Gel Pad well before peeling it off the large plastic base.
• Polish and dry your natural nails with a cotton pad generously soaked in alcohol.
• Let the alcohol dry for about 20 seconds.
• Avoid touching the Gel Pad with your fingers.
• Rub the Gel Pad against your nail again before removing the tab.
• If the Gel Pad extends beyond the edge, gently scrape it with your nail to detach it from the tab.

Normally, you shouldn't feel the false nails, and certainly not experience discomfort or pain. If this is the case, here are the potential reasons and solutions:

Case 1: The Gel Pads are applied too far from the cuticles, causing the bottom edge of the capsule to move. The capsule should be pressed against the nail. To achieve this, place the Gel Pad neither too close to the cuticles nor too far away; the ideal distance is 1mm.

Case 2: The cuticles weren't pushed back enough, and the capsule wasn't placed under the cuticles, leaving the capsule resting on top and causing friction. Be sure to push your cuticles back and position the capsule slightly beneath them for a natural look and optimal comfort.

Case 3: The capsule used is too wide, preventing the bottom edge of the capsule from staying under the cuticles, leading to the "sliding" of the capsule, which can rub against the cuticles if pressure is applied vertically.

Case 4: You are applying too much vertical pressure (e.g., inserting your finger into a mandarin peel to peel it). The Gel Pad capsule is not 100% stable and may shift slightly towards the cuticles if pressed too hard, which can irritate them.

Normally, you shouldn't feel the false nails, and certainly not experience discomfort or pain. If this is the case, here are the potential reasons and solutions:

Case 1: Your natural nails are very flat, which creates a curvature difference between your nails and the capsule, causing compression when the capsule is applied. In this case, you should layer two Gel Pads on your nails before applying the capsule to add volume and reduce the compression. Case 2: You used a capsule that was too narrow, which causes the same phenomenon as described above, as narrower capsules are more curved. You will need to choose a wider capsule for your next applications.
